The unique four star theme hotel is located in Debrecen, Eastern Hungary’s biggest city’s historic downtown area, featuring 40 rooms, an exclusive presidential suite, 3 honeymoon suites and 1 family suite. The HUF 1 billion institute is named after a hussar, Colonel József Simonyi ’Óbester’ and is owned by a Hungarian businessman József Boros.
The hussar theme reflects in the hotel’s decoration with paintings and frescos depicting the history and traditions of the Hungarian hussars, painted by local artists. The hotel is home to a giant fresco in which local politicians and businessmen, including Lajos Kósa, Mayor of Debrecen and the city’s chief architect are all wearing hussar uniform.
