Six years after his Grammy-nominated album LP5, Sascha Ring, better known as Apparat, is opening a new chapter in his career. His new record, A Hum Of Maybe, will be released in early 2026, followed by a full-band European tour. One of its key stops will be Budapest, where the Berlin-based musician will perform on April 9, 2026, at Dürer Kert.
Over the past years, Apparat has performed at some of the world’s most renowned festivals and venues, including Sónar, Primavera Sound, and Palais de la Découverte for ARTE Concert establishing himself as one of the most influential figures in live electronic music. His last full-band tour ended just as the pandemic began, when live music around the world came to a halt.
Apparat’s name is also familiar to millions from his work on the Netflix series Dark, whose haunting and melancholic title track brought his atmospheric sound to global audiences.
Music at the Edge of Emotion
The new album was created together with his longtime collaborator Philipp Johann Thimm, continuing the sound that has earned Apparat a cult following worldwide — blending delicate electronic textures, organic instrumentation, and his signature emotive vocals.
“‘Maybe’ is not a weakness, but a space where things can still evolve,” says Sascha Ring. “‘Hum’ is the underlying noise of potential — not a clear yes or no, but that in-between place where life actually happens.”
Meditative Atmosphere
The 2026 tour marks a period of return and renewal for Apparat — A Hum Of Maybe will come to life on stage, revealing how electronic sound can meet human emotion and fragile beauty. This is not his first time performing in Hungary; most recently, he appeared at Sziget Festival in 2023 as a member of Moderat, where his performance was praised for its intense yet meditative atmosphere. Critics highlighted how precise electronic rhythms were infused with deeply human feeling and a sense of collective resonance. Now, two years later, Apparat returns to Budapest under his own name — inviting the audience to step into his latest creative chapter through the music of his new album.
