BEAT is coming to Budapest for the first time, bringing to the stage the iconic songs of King Crimson from the 1980s. On 15 July 2026, guitarist Steve Vai, Tool drummer Danny Carey, and original King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin will dazzle the Hungarian audience with their virtuoso performance at Barba Negra.
King Crimson released three unmistakably unique-sounding albums in the ’80s. The supergroup preserves the legacy of Discipline, Three of a Perfect Pair, and Beat, the latter also lending its name to the project. For years, they have been touring the world to enable as many people as possible to honor these songs. Their work has borne fruit: the songs are no longer available only in their original versions, but can also be heard in the band’s unique interpretation on the nearly two-hour Live album released this September.
BEAT is not an ordinary tribute band, as it features unforgettable artists playing their own instruments, such as guitar legend Steve Vai and Danny Carey, drummer of one of the most important progressive rock bands, Tool. It is no coincidence that the songs gain a completely distinctive flavor—especially with the two original King Crimson members, Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, performing them in a fresh new form.
Interest in the group is clearly visible: in 2024 they played 65 sold-out shows across North America, and in 2026 they will tour Europe, finishing their 23-date run in Hungary.
