This year's ‘Django Feszt Budapest’ festival, featuring Hungarian gypsy jazz artists, will take place at the Kristály Theater on Margaret Island on August 27.
On two stages, seven bands, more than fifty musicians await music lovers, who this year can not only listen to the concerts, but also take part in swing dance performances and dance lessons, the organizers said in a statement.
On the main stage, Debi Botos and Zsolt Botos will perform, Laci Duka will play the violin, Jenő Lisztes will give a cimbalom concert and Vilmos Lakatos will play the Django guitar. The Valami Swing band with Roby Lakatos will perform a record release concert, Canarro will perform with Ephemere Duo, Créme de la Pop will play Hungarian hits from the 90s while the Pepita Jazz Dance Community will offer a swing dance.
The jam stage will feature performances by the La Barriere Jazz Manouche band, the Moustache, the Gypsy Youth All Stars of the Symphony and the Maltese Symphony, and there will also be a joint joy music session with the participants.
‘Django Feszt Budapest’ is organized jointly by founder Dávid Kádár Cooper, Mónika Hibály, Balázs Wizner, Gergely Pap and the Pepita Dance Association.
