Budapest Airport charity run set off for the thirteenth time with 1144 runners

21 September 2025

On 20 September, athletes took over runway I of Ferenc Liszt International Airport once again: Budapest Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, organized the Runway Run, the traditional charity race of the aviation community for the thirteenth time. As in previous years, one hundred percent of the entry fees is donated to charities.

The Runway Run, Budapest Airport’s charity run, started again on Saturday: for the thirteenth year of this popular race, 1144 runners took to the track to share the experience of running together for a good cause. At the race, which traditionally represents the unity of the aviation industry, runners competed on the airport’s closed runway, with their entry fees supporting the work of two charities.

As in previous years, Budapest Airport will donate all proceeds raised from entry fees to the SUHANJ! Foundation, which supports sporting opportunities for handicapped and disabled people and the Save Lives Public Benefit Foundation, which supports the recovery of sick children.
