The Budapest Advent and Christmas Fair will be open from November 10 to December 31 with artisanal food products and high quality hand-crafted gifts in one of the city's most beautiful locations, Vörösmarty Square.
There will be premium products along with high quality cultural and children's programs at this year’s Advent and Christmas Fair.
One of the most popular spots in the fair is the 1200m2 area around the Vörösmarty statue, known as the Terrace of Delicacies, which is home to many delicious food pavilions. In addition to traditional dishes, visitors can taste a variety of unique speciaty dishes, such as prune goulash soup, sweet potato tocsni, pulled pork burger, HUN-DOG, lamb sandwich with roasted pepper cream, pumpkin sautéed in duck fat with spicy pumpkin seeds and goose liver sausage.
Besides the traditional sekler cake and roast chestnut stands, other delicious new products will be added to the range: artisanal chocolates and marzipan, flodni, beigli and gingerbread cookies will all be available at the market.
During the weeks of the market, there will be close to 200 high quality programs to watch and participate in. On stage, folk music, jazz, crossover, alternative, blues and soul concerts will be held on weekdays and on weekends. On weekends, children will be entertained with puppet theater and music-dance performances, while in the handicraft playhouse there will be recreational opportunities for kindergarten and school groups as well as programs for families visiting the square.
