Poppy brings her surreal art to Budapest

27 October 2025

Poppy, the chameleon-like diva who never fails to surprise even her most devoted fans, is finally bringing her surreal artistry to Budapest. The singer collaborates with some of today’s hottest metal bands while continuing to deliver songs that collide and blend multiple genres. Now, fans will finally be able to hear them live on March 22 at Barba Negra.

An insatiable creative force has fueled Poppy’s surreal rise through countless corners of the art and music worlds. Each of her projects has unveiled a new side of a true visionary — one unconcerned with genre, unimpressed by tradition, and constantly defying expectations. This eclectic approach has cemented Poppy’s reputation as a boundary-breaking artist redefining culture itself.

For Poppy, there are no limits: she is a provocative performance artist, a video director, a sci-fi graphic novelist, and a globe-trotting performer whose music spans everything from metal to ‘60s bubblegum pop, trap-pop, and grunge-punk. Nothing is “off-limits” when it comes to bringing her multifaceted artistic vision to life.
In 2021, Poppy earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance for her song BLOODMONEY, becoming the first solo female artist ever nominated in that category. Then, in 2025, she received her second GRAMMY nomination for Suffocate, her collaboration with Knocked Loose.

Her chameleon-like adaptability keeps fans guessing what her next move will be — yet every artistic turn remains uniquely, unmistakably Poppy. The past few years have been packed with highlights: touring with 30 Seconds to Mars, Avenged Sevenfold, and BABYMETAL, and releasing collaborations with Bad Omens (V.A.N.), Knocked Loose (Suffocate), and BABYMETAL (from me to u).

In 2024, she also released her fifth studio album, Negative Spaces, produced by Jordan Fish. This year, she teamed up with Amy Lee (Evanescence) and Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) for a collaborative single titled End of You, and recently unveiled Unravel, her first solo release since the album’s debut. Who knows what other surprises Poppy has in store before her Budapest show - she always manages to astonish her audience.
