Carpenter Brut evokes the pop culture of the 1980s through the soundtrack of an imaginary post-apocalyptic film,and is one of the most influential artists of the retrowave scene. After 8 years, the French producer returns to Budapest with his new concept album Leather Temple, ready to bathe us in neon lights on November 19 at Barba Negra. The album tour will be co-headlined with Health, with VOWWS appearing as special guests.

    Carpenter Brut blends electronic music, metal, and 1980s pop culture to create a unique universe that is both dark and energetic. Since 2015, he has become one of the defining figures of the international synthwave scene with his powerful and straightforward sound. His inspirations range from John Carpenter and Dario Argento to the music of Slayer and Justice, resulting in a coherent, stylized, and shadowy world on the edge of retro thrillers, glam metal, and futuristic dystopia.

    Now, with his album Leather Temple, released in February, he concludes the trilogy that began with Leather Teeth (2018) and Leather Terror (2022), delivering a fully realized work that is simultaneously a concept album, the soundtrack to an imaginary film, and a post-apocalyptic visual experience.     Joining him on the tour is the Los Angeles-based industrial rock trio Health, who last electrified the audience at A38 Ship with their avant-garde sound. The band released their latest album, Conflict DLC, at the end of last year, further blurring genre boundaries. Carpenter Brut and Health will be accompanied by VOWWS, who will offer a taste of their mysterious death-pop sound.
