The American pop-rock band will take over the Budapest Arena on June 25 with their hits and explosive energy.
So far, OneRepublic has visited Budapest three times, most recently in the spring of 2022, shortly after Covid restrictions were lifted, as one of the first major international acts to return, delivering an unforgettable show. The band’s lead singer praised Budapest both on stage and in his Instagram stories, so their return is long overdue.
The GRAMMY-nominated OneRepublic consists of singer-songwriter and frontman Ryan Tedder, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, keyboardist Brian Willett, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher. Since forming in 2002, the group has amassed more than 5 billion streams on Spotify alone, and their hits have dominated radio and streaming charts. Their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, was released in 2007 and sold 20 million copies, featuring the record-breaking hit “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and radio airplay records and earned them a GRAMMY nomination.
Their 2009 album Waking Up was also packed with hits, including “All the Right Moves,” “Secrets,” and “Good Life.” Not long after, they released the platinum-certified Native, featuring the chart-topping single “Counting Stars,” which sold 41 million copies. Then it was followed by the albums Oh My My and Human. In 2022, they released the track “I Ain’t Worried,” which appeared in the blockbuster film Top Gun: Maverick—and whose music video premiered on the very day of their last Budapest concert, greeting fans inside the arena. The song has since been streamed more than 3 billion times.
For the band, 2024 seemed to be the year of special collaborations: they released their hit with David Guetta, “I Don't Wanna Wait,” the track “Nobody (from Kaiju No.8),” which served as the end-credit song for the hugely successful manga-to-anime adaptation Kaiju No.8, followed by another track for the series, “Invincible (from Kaiju No.8).” Their sixth studio album, Artificial Paradise, also arrived this year, featuring hits such as “Hurt” and “Sink or Swim.” The later deluxe edition included a collaboration with Jelly Roll and several acoustic versions. They released “Chasing Paradise” with Kygo, “Tell Me” with Ikky and Karan Aujla, and teamed up with The Supermen Lovers to create the 25th anniversary version of the beloved track “Starlight,” titled “Starlight (The Fame).”
OneRepublic’s latest release is “Beautiful Colors (from Kaiju No.8),” accompanied by a music video, which serves as the ending theme of the show’s second season. The band wrapped up their tour in the United Kingdom and Europe this November, and next year they will return to the old continent with their From Europe With Love tour—arriving in Budapest as well, on June 25 at the Budapest Arena.
Tickets will be available first for the official fan club members from 11am on November 11. Registered Live Nation members can join the presale on November 13 at 11am. General onsale starts at 11am on November 14.
