Tonic Walter, a German electronic music duo, blend analogue synths with organic drum grooves to create the band's floaty deep house and techno music. The group last warmed up for Tycho and will return to the Turbina Cultural Centre on 15 October.
Tonic Walter is an electronic music production duo from southern Germany made up of Maximilian Nestmann and Marcel Vckov. Formerly based in Munich and Berlin, the duo realized they could find true inspiration in their hometown of Altenstadt in the Bavarian countryside.
After originally meeting in elementary school and forming a band, Max and Marcel turned to electronic music, and bonded over their love for artists like The Blaze, Bicep, and Moderat among others. Using analog synthesizers, live instruments and organic drum grooves, Tonic Walter creates a blend of melodic house, deep house, and techno while retaining the organic feeling of a live band. To date, the duo has racked up over 65M streams and over 150k creations using their sounds across social platforms.
Tonic Walter were previously perform at the Dürer Kert during their European tour and returned as support act for Tycho. Now they will bring their melodic electronica to Turbina on 15 October.
Tickets are available from 14 May 6pm.
