On August 5, the California-based hardcore band Stick To Your Guns will once again perform in Budapest, this time bringing their album Keep Planting Flowers to Analog Music Hall.
The band - consisting of Jesse Barnett (vocals), Andrew Rose (bass), Chris Rawson (guitar), Josh James (guitar), and Adam Galindo (drums)- has now reached their eighth full-length release. Their 2025 record once again delivers powerful grooves, earth-shaking breakdowns, razor-sharp riffs, and captivating melodies, evoking intense emotional release and catharsis in listeners.
In recent years, the band has stripped their sound down to its simplest and purest form of expression. By their own admission, they feel fortunate that—whether dealing with frustration, anxiety, or other struggles—they can always find an outlet. This also allows them to express everything they care about and consider important. This approach gave rise to Spectre in 2022, an album well received by both fans and critics, which strongly articulated their concerns about the inevitability of social changes in the United States.
Three years later, a new album arrived—one woven with internal struggles yet ultimately carrying a positive message—embedded in their signature hardcore sound. In many ways, the record embodies the idea that you can improve both yourself and the world around you if you don’t let hardships break you.
Beyond their studio work, the band has also become a remarkable live sensation over the years. They have held their own just as confidently alongside Knocked Loose, Parkway Drive, and Architects as they have as guests on tours with Rise Against and Pennywise.
With this versatility, they now return to the Hungarian audience, where fans can go wild to both the latest songs and their most well-known tracks. So on August 5, it’s definitely worth heading to Analog Music Hall—where the band will likely promise the same thing as with their new album: “It will be hard, but beautiful.”
