Lake Street Dive is known for its effortlessly genre-spanning songs. In 2024, the band released its eighth studio album, Good Together, which—as its title suggests—is a truly liberated creation infused with the joy of community and making music. During their more than 20-year career, Lake Street Dive will perform in Hungary for the first time on October 6, 2026, at Dürer Kert.
Lake Street Dive continually expands the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force—not only through their vibrant and diverse sound, which boldly and originally blends soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and many other styles, but also through their inclusive mindset. It is this quality that has helped them become a beloved band capable of finding harmony with audiences anywhere in the world.
In 2024, the band released their latest album, Good Together, which also received a Grammy nomination. During the making of the record, the group’s deeply rooted motivation guiding their creative work grew even stronger. They frequently explored topics that are considered divisive today, such as uncontrolled technological development, culturally imposed isolation, or the relentless cult of self-optimization. From what the band calls a joyful rebellion emerged Good Together, a work that is both gloriously defiant and designed to inspire liberated dancing and carefree singing together.
As a continuation of their 2021 release Obviously, Good Together was once again produced by Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). The album’s sound encompasses everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop. It opens with an unconventional love song that celebrates standing against expectations and the thrill of following the heart’s choice. Meanwhile, “Dance with a Stranger” is proof of what the band has excelled at throughout their 20-year history: the song radiates joy while still provoking thought.
Throughout Good Together, the band repeatedly draws from the camaraderie that has fueled them since their formation, resulting in what is considered their most powerful and liberating work to date. Audiences in Hungary will also experience this firsthand at the band’s first Hungarian concert on October 6 at Dürer Kert.
Members of the band’s official fan club will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets on November 19 at 10 a.m., while general ticket sales will begin on November 21 at 10 a.m.
