According to tradition, the Hungarian New Wine and Cheese Festival is held in Budapest the last weekend of November at the Vajdahunyad Castle. Taste Hungary's best new wines and artisanal cheeses on November 25-26.
The New Wine and Cheese Festival, which is being held for the 14th time, will have many interesting programs, which will give both the general public and professional visitors the opportunity to become acquainted with the wine regions of Hungary and their most outstanding new wines and delicious cheeses. Visitors will be able to meet the producers in person and receive professional information about the craft of making new wines and cheeses.
Honored guests of this year's event will be the Wine Region of Villány, known as the ‘Hungarian Mediterranean’, as well as the diverse Somogy County and the Balaton Circle, which is considered the heart of the Balaton’s (Hungarian Sea) tourism and gastronomy.The two-day event is preceded by a new wine competition. The wines from the competition will be available for sampling at the festival.
