Jared Leto and Shannon Leto’s band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, will celebrate two of its most celebrated records, A Beautiful Lie and This Is War, on next year’s Thirty Seconds to Mars presents A Beautiful Lie vs This Is War world tour. Built around the albums that defined a generation, the tour promises a powerful, nostalgia-fuelled live experience and Budapest is set to be part of it. Fans can celebrate with the band on 17 May at Budapest Arena.
Few bands define eras while continuing to evolve across decades, but Thirty Seconds to Mars has built a career doing exactly that. Comprised of Jared Leto and Shannon Leto, the multi-platinum band has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, consistently touring across the globe and appearing as a headline act at major festivals.
The band released its debut album, 30 Seconds to Mars, in 2002, before achieving worldwide success with the release of A Beautiful Lie in 2005. This was followed by This Is War (2009), Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013), and America (2018), which featured standout tracks such as “Walk on Water” and “Rescue Me”.
In 2023, the band made a triumphant return with its sixth studio album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day. In 2026, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of A Beautiful Lie with a special re-release featuring four previously unreleased tracks, including a long-awaited acoustic version of their biggest hit, “The Kill”. The release was accompanied by a striking new music video reflecting on the band’s journey and its connection with fans over the past two decades.
Throughout its career, the band has received numerous accolades, including multiple MTV Awards and a Billboard Music Award, as well as a Guinness World Record for the longest-running tour in history. In 2023, Jared Leto announced the band’s monumental Seasons World Tour 2024 by becoming the first person to climb New York City’s Empire State Building.
Thirty Seconds to Mars will return to the road in 2027 with the Thirty Seconds to Mars presents A Beautiful Lie vs This Is War world tour, with dates across Europe, South Africa and the UK - including Budapest.
