Mari Froes brings the sounds of Brazil to Budapest Park

09 September 2026

Mari Froes’ compositions sensitively blend the worlds of MPB, bossa nova, samba and jazz, creating a dazzling musical landscape that stirs deep emotions. Hungarian audiences have already had the chance to discover the charming singer during a special two-show run; now, she returns to Budapest Park on September 10, 2027, bringing her latest album and captivating Brazilian rhythms once again.

At the beginning of her career, Mari Froes uploaded covers of her favourite songs to YouTube, where her videos have since received more than 100 million views. She released her first singles in 2019, followed by her Nebulosa EP the following year, which has amassed more than 20 million streams. In 2024, COLORS invited her to record the celebrated Brazilian song “Gabriela”; later that year, her rendition of “Figa de Guiné” went viral on TikTok. Many listeners first discovered her through “Vaitimbora”, her collaboration with French electronic duo Trinix, which has now reached nearly 200 million streams on Spotify.

The Brazilian singer released her first album, Esquina do Sol, in July. Naturally blending Brazilian influences with indie-pop textures, the record feels both timeless and modern. The warmth of acoustic instruments, organic rhythms and sun-drenched melodies provide the backdrop for stories that are deeply personal, yet relatable to anyone.

The album explores life on the road, intense passions, heartbreak, rebirth, spirituality and the search for belonging. Each song reveals another layer of the singer’s identity, shaped by years of travelling, performing, and navigating the emotional complexities of personal growth and human connection.

At its heart, Esquina do Sol is about recognising that home is not necessarily a destination, a city or another person. Instead, it is about finding a sense of grounding within yourself. The songs trace a journey through longing and liberation, documenting a personal search for meaning, connection and inner peace. Whether reflecting on the sometimes-destructive ways love can be experienced, the restorative power of nature and the ocean, or the excitement of discovering new horizons, Mari approaches every subject with honesty, vulnerability and poetic sensitivity.

That same openness and sensitivity can also be felt in her live performances: intimate and soothing, yet filled with Brazilian rhythms that make you want to move. Mari first performed in Hungary in the summer of 2026 at the Városmajor Open-Air Theatre, where both of her shows sold out. She now returns to enchant audiences at Budapest Park on September 10, 2027.

Tickets will be available first for registered Live Nation members from 10 AM on September 16. General onsale begins at 10 AM on September 18 via.
