Hollywood Undead return to Budapest on February 3, performing at Barba Negra! The Los Angeles band is one of modern rock’s most recognisable and distinctive acts, blending rap, rock, metal and electronic music. Their concerts are both a musical experience and a spectacular show, bringing masks, explosive energy and a healthy dose of controlled chaos to the stage.

    Hollywood Undead’s story began in the mid-2000s, during the MySpace era. Their distinctive masked look and genre-blending sound quickly set them apart. The masks have since become one of the band’s most recognisable trademarks: each member has their own constantly evolving mask, which is not only part of the visual identity but also represents different eras of the band. Alongside the masks, humour, chaos and an intense connection with the audience are all integral parts of their live show.

    The band’s 2008 debut album, Swan Songs, made an immediate impact and has since been certified platinum by the RIAA. Their next full-length release, 2011’s American Tragedy, was also a major success: it received gold certification and reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200. In the years that followed, they continued developing their signature sound with albums including Notes from the Underground, Day of the Dead, Five, New Empire and Hotel Kalifornia.

    Hollywood Undead’s music is difficult to confine to a single genre. Rock foundations are combined with rap verses, electronic elements and melodic choruses. One song may be aggressive and energetic, while the next is surprisingly personal or irresistibly catchy. This diversity has been one of the band’s defining characteristics from the beginning, and may also explain how they have managed to connect with such a broad audience.

    The numbers speak for themselves: Hollywood Undead’s music has been streamed more than 3.2 billion times worldwide, while their YouTube videos have surpassed one billion views. The band currently has more than 4.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and over the past nearly two decades they have played sold-out shows across Europe, North America and many other parts of the world.

    The group currently consists of Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Funny Man and Danny. They are still actively working on new music, showing that even after more than a decade and a half, Hollywood Undead have no intention of becoming a nostalgia act looking back on the past.

    The band return to Budapest on February 3, 2027, taking the stage at Barba Negra. Registered Live Nation members can purchase tickets from 10 a.m. on October 8, while general ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on October 9.
