From online success story to metalcore’s next big thing – Melrose Avenue to play in Budapest for the first time

15 June 2026

Born during the pandemic, Melrose Avenue initially built a devoted following entirely online. Following the end of lockdowns, the band quickly translated their digital success into growing live audiences and has since emerged as one of modern metalcore’s most promising acts. On February 26, 2027, Hungarian fans will finally get a taste of the Australian outfit when they perform at Analog Music Hall in Budapest.

Born out of a cross-state collaboration in Australia, the band turned the limitations of lockdown into opportunity, building a global fanbase online before ever stepping foot on major stages. What started as a digital escape has evolved into a global phenomenon. Today, the band boasts millions of fans worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the fastest-rising names in modern metalcore.

With a combined social media following of more than 3 million across TikTok and Instagram, Melrose Avenue has mastered the art of fan engagement in a way few heavy music acts have achieved before. In 2023, they ranked among the eight most-viewed music artists on TikTok across Australia and New Zealand, and by 2025 their audience had expanded to more than 60 countries worldwide. Their largest fanbases can be found in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia. By blending crushing riffs with infectious melodies, the band has grown far beyond a viral internet sensation to become a significant force within the international heavy music scene.

Drawing inspiration from Bring Me the Horizon, Memphis May Fire, and Linkin Park, Melrose Avenue combines brutal breakdowns with soaring, anthemic choruses, creating a sound that is both aggressive and captivating. Their music delivers everything modern metalcore fans crave while maintaining a distinct identity that sets them apart from their peers.

In 2024, the band signed with influential punk rock label Hopeless Records. Their catalogue has quickly surpassed 20 million streams worldwide, while their singles have received regular airplay on SiriusXM Octane, helping them reach an international audience.

Last year, Melrose Avenue toured the United States alongside Ice Nine Kills, The Word Alive, and The Funeral Portrait before successfully headlining several sold-out shows of their own. Their fall headline run sold out in less than 72 hours. The momentum continues to build, and in early 2027 the band will finally make their Budapest debut, taking over Analog Music Hall on February 26.
