Danubius Hotels Zrt. is further expanding its hotel portfolio through a new international franchise partnership. As a result of the agreement between Danubius and the Radisson Hotel Group, the Radisson Individuals brand will make its debut in Hungary. With this addition, Danubius now operates five international hotel brands, further strengthening its position as one of Hungary's leading hotel operators.
Under the terms of the agreement, the recently fully refurbished 126-room Hotel Erzsébet will continue to operate under the name Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals, starting at the end of summer 2026.
The franchise partnership marks another milestone in Danubius’s long-term growth strategy, which combines the development of its own brands with the operation of internationally renowned hotel brands.
In addition to its Danubius and Ensana properties, the UK-owned company also operates Hilton Budapest and the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel. With the addition of Hotel Erzsébet, Danubius’s portfolio now comprises 16 hotels across five distinctive brands, further strengthening its position in the Hungarian hospitality market.
Danubius is one of Hungary’s largest and most experienced hotel operators. The company introduced the first Hilton hotel in the Central and Eastern European region to Hungary, as well as the country’s first Radisson hotel.
„For Danubius, this agreement represents far more than a new franchise partnership. It is a strong endorsement of the trust that international hotel brands place in us as a reliable long-term operating partner. Following its transformation, Hotel Erzsébet will join an internationally recognised brand, opening up new opportunities to reach guests across global markets.”– said Balázs Kovács, CEO of Danubius Hotels Zrt.
David Jenkins, Vice President, Development Eastern Europe, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We are proud to bring Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals, into our portfolio. Budapest continues to be one of Central Europe’s most attractive destinations, with strong demand from leisure, cultural, and business travelers. This signing is a great example of how Radisson Individuals allows distinctive, well-located independent hotels to maintain their own character while gaining the strength of Radisson Hotel Group’s international network.”
Hotel Erzsébet will continue to operate as usual until the rebranding, and starting in late summer 2026, it will welcome guests under the name Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals.
