Restaurant ARAZ is located in Budapest’s 'Jewish Quarter' in District VII, only a few minutes’ walk from the largest synagogue in Europe, the Dohány Street Synagogue. As the restaurant of the Continental Hotel Budapest**** Superior, from the first moment of its opening in 2010, it has considered its most important mission to provide a dining opportunity of the highest quality in an exclusive environment, both for hotel guests from foreign countries and domestic patrons walking in off the street. To accomplish that, Áron Barka, the Chef de Cuisine of the restaurant, member of La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, has dreamt up a special concept: he offers a Hungarian and a French menu for patrons who are ready to embark on an unforgettable gastronomic journey into the world of ARAZ. The chef of the restaurant prepares both traditional Hungarian and French flavors allergy-consciously and using only the best quality ingredients. In addition, the French dishes are prepared using state-of-the-art techniques, such as Sous Vide technology.
Maintaining a wide variety is essential; therefore, Restaurant ARAZ offers several programs, such as Sunday Brunches, giving a choice of the most diverse flavors of the world, Wine Duet dinners, presenting Hungarian wineries, or Degustation Menu, offering an array of the chef’s specialties, Hungarian Flavors and Music Nights, and BBQ parties held on summer evenings on the interior terrace of the restaurant.
