The Community Cultural Festival of Újlipótváros is today one of the largest cultural events of its’ kind in the country. On Saturday September 2nd, between 10 am and 9 pm on the well- known areas of the XIII. district such as the embankment, Jászai Mari Square and St. Stephen's Park, the Picnic offers a diverse cross-section of classical and contemporary culture in hundreds of genres. One of the Picnic traditions is the themed streets. This year, in the case of the theaters, it will be enlarged with a park, since there will be so many Budapest and countryside theatrical companies and favorite artists who can be visited by fans at the eastern side of St. Stephen's Park on the fringes of Balzac street. At the theatre company's kiosks, you will find special programs, tickets and passes.

New at this years’ Pozsony Picnic is the "Street of Artists", including a Picnic Gallery, where visitors can follow the creative process of renowned painters, in addition to the exhibition of contemporary works. Participating artists include-  Flóra Kőszeghy, Matthias Czanik, Menetmen and Peter Weiler. Paintings created for the Picnic will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with the revenues going to help the work of the Bátor Tábor Foundation and the Pozsony Picnic Association. The other thematic streets will include the street of the books on the Újpesti embankment, Gastro street and this year Radnóti Miklós street will house the media, from which ATV will broadcast its show after 16:00.

Detailed information can be found on the Pozsonyi Piknik website and Facebook page.
