1st Buda Butcher Festival
Budapest's Millenáris Park will host the first Buther Festival this weekend, introducing pork dishes, freshly made sausages as other goodies for those lovers of meat, as well as a wide range of cultural programs.

One of the festival's highlights will be the Disznótor, on Saturday, when visitors may witness the centuries old ritual of Hungarian pig slaughter. A Pig Butchery Competition will follow.
Today's programs:
Day 1, Friday:
4.00 PM Opening, comedian teaser of the 3-day conference program
Pig Beauty Contest – “The most beautiful pigs will be adorned with a bow rather than slaughtered”
Preliminary Tasting of Hungarian ‘Hurka’ (a sausage shaped pork delicacy either with pork liver or made with pork blood, something like the blood pudding in the UK)
5:00 PM The Jookers – Country Concert
7:00 PM Moondance Jazz Band Concert
9:00 PM Retro Disco (Dj Sly)
