International Homebrew Competition
This program is for true beer lovers. If you fancy craft and artisan beers, save the date for the International Homebrew Competition which will take place at Élesztő (Tűzoltó Street 22, Budapest, District 9) on March 15.

To be organized fourth time this year, this annual competition has become increasingly popular. Last year more than 250 beers were nominated from eight countries, ranking the event among the top beer competitions in Central Europe.

This year beers will be nominated in the following eight categories:
1: Vienna Lager
2: Kölsch
3: Irish red ale
4: Russian imperial stout
5: American IPA
6: Sour ale
7: Belgian strong ale
8: Guerilla beers

Beers will be evaluated by judges certified by BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) which is the accepted international standard. The winner, the Grand Champion will receive the travelling trophy, presented by the Homebrewing Association. Visitors to this competition are invited to taste excellent craft beers, meet the brewers and chief representatives of the domestic breweries in person.
